Pray for:
Our Global Equippers Churches

Ephesians 6:18 - “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.”

Right now God is at work all over the world and we have the opportunity to intercede for our Equippers church family globally.

Between the current worldwide context and our personal lives, we can all agree that the past few years have been trying. We can also agree that God has been constant and present. Our churches in NZ and globally have continued to grow, remain healthy, and reach communities for Jesus!

We have family all over the world that we may not have met, but we can still stay connected, support and love each other through prayer. It’s an easy, powerful way for us to connect with others around the world because we share a mutual love for Christ.

Throughout history, prayer has been the springboard for many sweeping movements of God. Prayer is critical in preparing for and bringing about gospel revival. So, we must be bold, united and consistent in asking for God’s presence and the gospel to renew our global cities.

God’s mission, from before the foundation of the world, has been to redeem a lost and broken world. If reaching the nations with the gospel is God’s passion, maybe it should be our passion too?

When we look to Jesus, we see the way He prayed for the original movement of disciples in the church is the way we ought to pray for our churches all over the world today. We need to pray like Jesus prayed. Jesus prayed in Matthew 6:10 - “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” We also know from Matthew 28:19 that God’s will is to see disciples made in “all nations.”

In Romans 1:8-17, we also see Paul’s motivation for gospel ministry - his passion was the global scope of the gospel. You see in all of Paul’s letters that he loves the church. He constantly prays for them. He pleads with God to be with them. What Paul understood is that mighty movements of God are birthed through prayer, and that the gospel was to go global!

So, like Jesus and the example of Paul, let’s build a global dimension into our daily prayers.

Pray for our Equippers pastors and church leaders faced with the challenges of ministering in the midst of their current context. Ask God to help them creatively minister to their congregations and communities. Pray that they will be renewed and have strength to serve. Pray for the resource and provision they need to keep advancing. Let’s pray we obtain church buildings in prominent and visible places in our cities worldwide. Pray for more workers and leaders to be raised up to bring in the harvest. Pray for the gospel to continue to spread globally. Pray for further church plants and gospel initiatives.

Mark 16:15 - “And he said to them, “As you go into all the world, preach openly the wonderful news of the gospel to the entire human race!”
