We make it a priority to seek God first in prayer. We do this collectively as a church every year in November through The Fast — 21 days of prayer and fasting. This month is intentional as we begin to pray towards the year to come.

We are believing for breakthroughs.
We are believing for the miraculous.

The early church was birthed in power. Their normal-Christian experience was one of hundreds of people being saved, daily. Miracles, daily. The power and presence of God in their midst, daily. Provision, daily. Breakthrough, daily. This was normal.

So was prayer and fasting.

Join us from 6 - 26 November as we believe for breakthroughs together.

Thank you for joining us on the journey of prayer and fasting during the month of November. As we fast, we allow ourselves to tune out from distractions and tune into God’s voice and guidance through prayer. We are believing for breakthrough corporately, and individually, and know that your participation is both powerful and effective.

We’re not a passive church, but passionate about being change agents. We pray that over the month of November God would bring clarity and insight into what you are trusting Him for. Don’t forget to write it down and to tell people about all the good things that happen this month though prayer and fasting.

WHAT IS FASTING

Biblical Fasting is the voluntary act of abstaining from food and/or drink for the purpose of developing our intimacy with God. Through an act of self-discipline, which is the essence of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, we intentionally spend more time with God in prayer. It has been said that prayer is connecting with God; fasting is disconnecting ourselves from the world.

We believe fasting is a living part of the Christian walk. Fasting was an expected discipline in both the Old and New Testament eras. For example, Moses fasted at least two recorded forty-day periods. Jesus fasted 40 days and reminded His followers to fast, “when you fast,” not if you fast.

Fasting enables the Holy Spirit to reveal your true spiritual condition. The Holy Spirit will quicken the Word of God in your heart and His truth will become more meaningful to you! Fasting can transform your prayer life into a richer and more personal experience. It can result in a dynamic personal revival in your own life - and make you a channel of revival to others.

If you’ve never fasted before, or if you are a veteran faster, and you’ve fasted many times, we’re excited about what God will do in these next 21 days as you say, “God, I want You, and I’m coming after more of You in prayer and fasting.”

There are many ways that you can choose to fast.

Liquid Fast - Give up solid foods
Daniel Fast - Fruits and vegetables only
Media Fast - Give up media
7 Day Fast - Fast with us for 7 days
Lunch Fast - Fast with us over lunch each day
Wednesday Fast - Fast with us on Wednesdays
Create Your Own Fast

We recommend doing the Daniel Fast. The Daniel Fast is based on the prophet Daniel’s dietary and spiritual experiences as recorded in the Book of Daniel in the Bible. It’s a partial fast that focuses very heavily on vegetables and other healthy whole foods - keeping our diet pure and simple.

Whether you decide to give up a certain type of food or take a break from social media, this form of self-denial, when used to focus on prayer, will align your heart with the heart of God.

Please remember that every person is different and you should choose what is a healthy and safe choice for you.
